Are You Magnesium Deficient?
October 04, 2013
Hello

Are You Magnesium Deficient?

According to Carolyn Dean, MD, ND and author of The Magnesium Miracle symptoms of magnesium deficiency are, "anxiety, or depression, muscle weakness, fatigue, eye twitches, insomnia, anorexia, apathy, apprehension, poor memory, confusion, anger, nervousness, and rapid pulse. "

Magnesium is a mineral that is needed for hundreds of metabolic processes in the body from relaxing muscles to transmitting nerve signals. It is a necessary mineral for the body to maintain proper levels of calcium for healthy bones and for preventing muscle spasms of the heart and peripheral blood vessels.

Why would many researchers and experts agree that most people are deficient in magnesium? If it is not in your food, you can't get it. Depleted soil and lack of magnesium rich fertilizer means this important mineral does not get into today's crops. And if it is in food that is processed and cooked the magnesium content becomes even less.

I became aware of this important mineral after visiting a naturalpath for my own insomnia. Find out more about the many health benefits of magnesium, how it can help you sleep better, and how to get it into your diet:
