Having Trouble Making Your Room Completely Dark?

When you read about tips for getting a good night's sleep, all the sleep experts seem to agree that a completely dark room is beneficial to kicking in the melatonin and keeping one sleeping well through the night.

Well, it's not that easy. It seems I have ordered several different heavy, light blocking shades, but still light comes in around the sides. Last week I had a cold and cough and went to sleep in another bedroom.

I should have taken a picture of me trying to get the room dark with all kinds of blankets draped over the curtain rod. But still I couldn't get the room dark. Why I forgot about my sleep mask that night I'll never know.

Maybe you get light coming into your bedroom from street lights, neighbors lights or just light from your nightstand clock. A simple solution is to wear a sleep mask.

Here are my tips on finding one that is comfortable for you that you will keep wearing night after night and aid you in getting a good night's sleep.
